Grief and Opportunity: A Message from Dr. Marcia

Every year for the last 14 years in May, pastors and worship team members from across the country have come to the amazing mountains surrounding Lake Tahoe to study with me and renew their spirits. It is one of my favorite things to do in the world–to facilitate a time when those who work so hard to offer spiritual sustenance for others can, themselves, be renewed.

Of course, we had to cancel Elevation this year. We are all really disappointed.

But it is important to be together in this time of grief and opportunity because spiritual sustenance is more important than ever–especially for all of you who are producing worship week after week in ways that can sap your energy, even as you struggle to stay centered yourself.

So I've invited those 60 people who were coming, plus YOU, to a mini-Elevation Moment on the same evening we would have started our time in Tahoe.

It will be mystical as we "beam ourselves" to the Lake.

It will be real as we share from the heart.

It will rejuvenate our souls and our passion as we remember why we do this.
